Card-making-wise, I’m in January, but my heart is in April and July and September so I have bits and pieces from several different stamp and die sets all layered together to create this sweet “thank you” card. An evergreen bough for winter, birds for spring, mushrooms and eucalyptus for summer and oak leaves for fall!

I began by die cutting all the shapes you see on the card. I cut a branch, acorn and oak leaves from the BotaniCuts Mighty Oak Dies set, and mushrooms from the Botanicuts Toadstool Garden Dies Set. These, I colored with Copic markers and assembled them.

Next, I die cut all the shapes in the Robin & Wren Stamp and Die set, the Petite Eucalyptus stamp and dies, and the evergreen bough from the Hoop Wreath stamp and die set. Then I stamped all the layers of these die-cuts using Altenew layering inks.

With all of the colored and stamped pieces, I began to layer and tuck and adjust and fix until I achieved the arrangement you see above.

I stamped the “thank you” greeting from the Hoop Wreath stamp set, and finished by splattering black watercolor paint over the card panel. Then, to visually weight the scene, I added a strip of patterned paper along the bottom. Perfect pieces of scrap paper like this are the reason I have a stash bin crammed so full I can hardly tuck another one in there!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
