Technique Tuesday Cascading Flowers Card

Hi friends, I’m back today with a pretty floral card to share with you! I used the May Greenhouse Society stamp and die set called Cascading Flowers as well as an older set called Beautiful Butterflies to create the background.

I started by stamping the Cascading Flowers image onto Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock with Versafine Onyx Black ink so that I could color them with Arteza Brush markers.

Once they were colored up I die cut them with the coordinating die and set it aside to create the rest of the card.

I began by die cutting four layers of white cardstock with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Square Frames dies and stacked them up and adhered them together. Using the frame as a guide, I masked off a square in the center of the card panel. Then I used the three outline butterfly images in the Beautiful Butterflies stamp set to stamp the rest of the card panel, heat setting with white embossing powder.

Before adhering the frame or flower die cut, I stamped the sentiment using one of the greeting stamps in the Cascading Flowers Stamp set. Then I glued the frame to the card front. Because I was adding the die cut flowers to the frame I needed to support the die cut on the outer edges, so I added foam adhesive to the back on either side of the frame. Finally, a few white enamel dots to complete the card.
