Hi, hello! I have a couple more cards to share today featuring one of my favorite stand alone birthday image stamps, Chunky Birthday rubber stamp from Stampendous! It’s not only fun to color, it’s suitable for anyone of any age and it’s weird, but people keep having birthdays with shocking regularity so when DON’T you need a birthday card stash stock up??
I stamped this image twice, onto Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock, with black Versafine ink and clear heat embossed. Then I pulled out the Arteza markers and a water brush and played! (I wish everyday was a #thedailymarker30day coloring challenge day!)
After I was finished coloring, I spend a happy few minutes fussy cutting each of the images. For the card above, I created a color block design with patterned papers from Doodlebug Designs.
I actually did things backwards by FIRST picking a color scheme and coloring them up before checking my patterned paper stash to make sure I had something that coordinated. Happily, one of the blessings of having collected all. the. paper. everywhere. is that I had some that worked well with both colored card panels, and I was particularly delighted with the “party time” paper from (I think; old stash, can’t find a link anymore) Sunny Studios on this red/green/orange/teal card! Seriously. What are the odds.
Both cards have a few matching matte sprinkles enamel dots, also from Doodlebug Designs to complete them.
Thanks for stopping by and have a swell day!
