Art Impressions Crafty Girls Cards

Hello, hi! Whaddya know, it’s another no-reason at all card post day here today!

Back last week when I was messing with the neglected brush markers and doing some just-for-fun coloring, I stamped a couple of these cute ladies in the Art Impressions Crafty Girls stamp set and colored them up!

I stamped the image twice with Versafine Onyx Black ink onto Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock because it’s such a perfect paper for letting water-based brush and brush-tipped markers blend with themselves and with a water brush.

I love the “patchy” style of coloring that is shown on Art Impressions stamp packaging and I tried to duplicate that – not worrying about blending from dark to light with too much effort. I did both images full width and die cut this one landscape orientation with a stitched rectangle die, matted with some neutral gray cardstock and added a fun (but perfect!) greeting from the Taylored Expressions Simple Strips Friendship stamp and die set.

The second card differs not only in colors used to color the image and the sentiment, but I wanted to make this a portrait oriented card so I die cut the finished image with a square stitched die and matted it with some scrap paper from my stash.

This greeting is also from the Simple Strips Friendship stamp and die set. I love this greeting set because you can stamp all 18 sentiments at once and then die cut them all at once, with their perfect little fish-tail banner ends and you have a whack of sentiment strips ready to go! And! There are multiple sets of sentiment stamps that coordinate with the same die set. Excellent bang for your buck if you ask me!

Thanks for stopping by and have a lovely day!
