Spellbinders Holiday Gnomes Card

Hello, hi! I have another card to share today, from the SpellbindersBe Merry Collection – the Holiday Gnomes set. You might remember another couple of cards I shared recently from this collection – the cute Friendly Snowmen.

I stamped the three gnomes in the stamp set onto Neenah Solar White card stock with Copic friendly ink, and colored them with Copic markers before fussy cutting them with my Cutterbee scissors. (There are coordinating dies available).

I wanted to give the card a feeling of winter and cozy, snowy times, so I made a textured card panel by first, die cutting a rectangle using a stitched rectangle die, and then applying embossing paste through a Buffalo Plaid stencil that reminds me of a cozy knit sweater.

I die cut the “hey” greeting from heavy black cardstock using the Dec ’19 Small Die of the Month word dies, and the “Friend” by stamping the word from the Friendly Snowmen stamp set, onto the same black cardstock and heat setting with white embossing powder before trimming to a narrow sentiment strip. On the inside of the card I stamped the sentiment “There’s GNOME One Like You”.

Lastly, I dug through me embellishment stash and found these (very old) colored dots. I don’t even know what to call them – they aren’t enamel dots, nor are they metal brads, although that’s what they look most like. I think they might be a pressed paper product? Anyway, I stuck them on with a dab of liquid glue on the backs because anything with old glue is probably suspect!

That’s it for today, thanks for stopping by, keep well and savor today.
