Hi, hello! It’s not quite the day of all things green-beery and lucky, but here’s a shamrock card for you all the same! And although I’m not even close to Irish, I do have people who I feel lucky to know. So, there’s a lucky coincidence!

The Shamrock Background stamp that I used to make this card is part of the most recent Good Luck Charm release and is in stock at the moment. It is a red rubber 6″x 6″ stamp which makes it perfect for background designs like I’ve done today.
I stamped the design all over an A2 card panel of watercolor paper, then heat embossed with white embossing powder. So the design covers the whole card panel but is only obvious where I painted. I tried to make sure I had at least one full clover leaf “revealed” by paint, and not entirely covered by the sentiment. I used Mijello Mission Gold watercolors to daub on a variety of green shades that I let mix and blend together as it dried.
Next, I die cut a layer of green cardstock using the SSS Lucky to Know You die set, that happily, is also still in stock even though it isn’t a recent release. I cut a second layer from white fun foam and adhered the two together.
Assembling the card was a simple matter of trimming the stamped/embossed/painted card panel slightly smaller than A2, and adhering it to a folded card base of Neenah Classic Natural White (cream) and adding the sentiment on top. Finally, a few green sequins add some excitement and finish the card.
Thank you so much for stopping by today! Another Simon Says Stamp release is right around the corner, and I hope to see you again for that! Have a wonderful day!
