Altenew Poppy Arrangement Card

Hello, hey! I’m using the end of the month to do some catching up on blog posts, and that includes today’s card and stamp set! I’m sharing a card made using the Altenew Poppy Arrangement stamp set and the lovely Garden Trellis Cover Die.

This stamp set was originally a promotional set that was free with other purchases, and is now available in the shop for direct purchase.

Poppy Arrangement is one of my favorite kind of stamp sets – outline images with a variety of individual blooms and leaves plus another complete arrangement.

I began by stamping the poppy blooms and a selection of leaves onto Neenah Solar White Classic Crest cardstock, with Obsidian Pigment Ink and heat setting with clear embossing powder.

I colored the flowers with the Red Sunset family of Altenew Artist markers, using the 3 lightest shades for one flower and the 3 darkest shades for the other.

I used the Tropical Forest Marker set for some of the leaves and the Green Fields set for other leaves. Then I used my small fine tip scissors to fussy cut all the shapes. (A mentally soothing task I enjoy). The set does have a matching Die Set, but I don’t have it.

I stamped two of the sentiments included in the stamp set onto grey cardstock with Obsidian Pigment ink and heat set with clear embossing powder before trimming to narrow strips.

I die cut the background from white cardstock using the Garden Trellis Cover Die, and trimmed it wonkily before adhering it to a soft grey cardstock panel. Then I arranged the colored images in a cluster on the bottom and used strong liquid adhesive to adhere everything.

Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
