I used this month’s kit subscription set of stamps, dies, embossing folder and stencils to create 2 very different cards. These items are not sold separately, but you can acquire the complete kit, either through the subscription plan or directly from the store.
For my first card, I stamped one of the floral clusters onto watercolor cardstock with Obsidian Pigment Ink and heat set with clear embossing powder. I painted the image with a combination of Woodless Watercolor Pencils and Altenew Watercolor Brush Markers before die cutting with the coordinating dies.
I trimmed a card panel of pale gray cardstock slightly smaller than A2 size and stamped a background design using the large floral image in the Fairy Tale Florals stamp set. I also stamped a sentiment from the Just Jasmine stamp set and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. Loving the clean, graphic design, I decided to leave it at that and not even add any embellishments.
For the second card, I used the matching Hello Beautiful 3D embossing folder with watercolor cardstock. Then I used the Woodless Watercolor Pencils to color most of the design, following the textured pattern for a guide.
By the time I got to the background painting I needed more intensity, so I used the much more intensely pigmented Altenew Watercolor Brush markers again, scribbling ink onto a watercolor palette and adding water to dilute as needed. Once the painting was dry, I added paint splatters in black, blue and white.
For the greeting, I used two different word stamps from the Thank You Builder stamp set and heat set with Platinum embossing powder. I found a scrap of patterned paper that matched nicely, in my stash and adhered it along the bottom of the card.
