My first card uses various elements from the Open House Thankful – the banner, greenery and welcome mat – and Open House Pumpkin Topiary – the pumpkins and pot – sets.

I wanted to replicate a clapboard sided house behind the die cuts so I scored lines on the back of the grey cardstock panel, then ran lines of pale Copic gray marker below to suggest shadow and dimension.

I die cut the shapes on this card from Neenah Solar White cardstock and colored them with Copic markers to achieve the exact shades and shading that I wanted. I did a Pinterest search and found that blue pumpkins are a decor thing, which I actually quite like!

I colored the banner to sort of match the pumpkins, and stamped a sentiment from the FSJ Letterboard Minis stamp set. Finally, I assembled all the pieces – a bit like a jigsaw puzzle – and adhered everything with strong liquid adhesive.

Next up is a card that uses Open House Door Base die set again, and answers a particular fondness of mine to live in a house with a pink door! (If you can live out your fantasies on a greeting card, then why not, right?!)

The pink door is cut from Lawn Fawn Pencil Eraser cardstock, but all the rest of the die cuts are again, cut from Neenah Solar White cardstock and colored with Copic markers.

Besides the Open House Door Base dies, I used the Open House Thankful Dies, and the Open House Pumpkin Topiary Dies, plus a branch from the Winter Bough and Evergreen Shrub Dies. I also used a plant pot die from the Open House Side Door Panel Die set.

With all of these components die cut and colored I assembled them on a white cardstock panel that I scored and Copic lined to look like siding, as outlined for the first card, then adhered everything down. I especially love the mailbox detail and am totally imagining the card that has a cute tiny letter poking out of it!

Lastly I have a card that uses both the Open House Topiary and Open House Pumpkin Topiary sets. I just think there’s nothing classier than black urns and plant pots no matter what’s planted in them!

I wanted to make this a thanks card, but it’s still somewhat season specific with the pumpkin topiary and the background of embossed kraft cardstock from the Falling Leaves embossing folder, perfect for giving the hosts after a delicious Thanksgiving Dinner!

I stamped and cut a fishtail banner using the FSJ Letterboard Minis stamp set again. I love the simplicity of this design, and I know the Falling Leaves embossing folder is one I’ll keep and use often!
