The Greetery – Leaf and Blade Reveal Day 2

Hi, welcome back! You guys left the loveliest comments for me on yesterday’s reveal post, confirming that it’s not just me who loves this release beyond reason! But if you thought yesterday was good, wait till you see today’s! Once again, you are probably arriving here from Kelly’s blog, good, good you’re right on track. But if not, just click back to the start of the hop at The Greetery’s blog. That’s also where you’ll get the complete over-view of each of the individual products being released tomorrow.

The sets we are revealing today are:

Rustic Wreath stamps + die + Twig die

Curio Autumn die

Let’s Have a word: Autumn die + hot foil

Fall Foliage stamp set + die + hot foil

My first card features the Curio Autumn Die set with sweet little fall themed die cuts – all designed to go along with the Curio Divider die from a couple of releases ago!

Rather than using the divider section of the die cut, I used the negative sections, tacking down the outline die cut temporarily, then fitting the sections each into their place and removing the positive outline die cut.

I die cut all of the Autumn Curio pieces from watercolor cardstock and loosely slapped on the paint, worrying only minimally about proper shading or anything realistic. Once dry, I glued the various pieces together and positioned them on the patterned paper blocks according to size and fit.

I die cut the Let’s Have A Word: Autumn from mirror gold cardstock and two extra layers from scrap cardstock and glued them together. The “greetings” is from the Written In Ribbons: Holiday stamp set and die cut with the PreText Sentiments Banner dies.

Next up is my favorite card from this release! I used the Rustic Wreath stamp, die and Twig dies to create the 3D wreath and then added some bits and pieces from this release and others to decorate the wreath.

I used blue and green inks from Altenew to stamp the wreath base, then Copic colored the Twig die cuts to match and glued them to the wreath base according the to assembly instructions included with the set.

The wreath base is popped up on a layer of fun foam for extra dimension then adhered to the card front framing the silver embossed “thanks” sentiment from the Rustic Wreath set.

To decorate the wreath I glued on a couple of the BotaniCuts Wheat stalks, then added a few of the watercolor painted Curio Autumn die cuts, including three different leaves, the pair of acorns and finally, a bird from the Robin and Wren stamp set!

Lastly, I have a card that showcases the Fall Foliage stamp set and dies. I pulled out my stash of alllll the colors of embossing powder for this one, justifying their exclusion from any previous craft-room purges!

This is another of the sets that will come in a hot foil plate option and I look forward to playing with it that way! But for now, I die cut, then stamped and heat embossed a small stack of these die cuts with a variety of metallic and colored powders. I die cut each from fun foam and glued them together for extra dimensional interest.

The background is grey cardstock stamped with the Windowpane Plaid (man that stamp is getting a workout!) background stamp and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I die cut the Let’s Have A Word die cut from black glitter cardstock from my stash and paired it with the “blessings” die cut from the Blessed Blooms stamp. I love dimension, but even at that, I rarely have quite this much. It makes for a fun look though, I think!
