Technique Tuesday Royal Jasmine Card

Hi, me again! Today I’m sharing the first of this month’s projects made using the Greenhouse Society Royal Jasmine stamp and die set!

The Royal Jasmine flower is white. I looked it up. So today I tried to create a white flower by watercolor painting only the shadows. It’s harder than you’d think. Fortunately, there are no Royal Jasmine police and you can color your stamped flowers whatever color you’d like! I just felt like a challenge!

I stamped onto watercolor paper with Versafine Onyx Black ink and used Arteza Real Brush pens to color and paint with. I used a damp paint brush to help colors blend as needed.

When my flower was finished, I used the matching die to die cut the stamped image plus 3 more layers of cardstock which I stacked and adhered together. I used some stitched scalloped border dies to die cut the edge of a soft grey colored piece of cardstock and then ran it through the Gemini machine with a polka-dotted embossing folder to give it some additional texture.

I used a sentiment from the Technique Tuesday Find Beauty sentiments set and stamped and heat embossed with silver embossing powder. Finally, I added a thin strip of black and white patterned paper underneath the Royal Jasmine bloom and let the card be complete at that point.

Every month Technique Tuesday releases another beautiful floral stamp set as part of the Greenhouse Society subscription club. This helps bring the price down and you benefit by paying less and getting a lovely new stamp and die set in your mailbox every month! You can check that out here.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
