Hey hello, hi! Are you kicking back today and munching on holiday leftovers? Catching up on the internet? Well, while you’re looking around, I have a couple of cards to share with you today that I made using the Technique Tuesday Hello Winter stamp set sent to me awhile back. I’m late sending seasonal greetings this year all around, so making “winter weather” cards is perfect, and because of spending half our time in the snowy remoteness of Minnesota, particularly apropos!
For this card, I heat embossed row after row of the snow flakes and just colored on some dark indigo Zig Clean Color Real Brush marker color, moved the color around with a water brush and let it dry naturally. I stamped and die cut the sentiment and the mittens, and colored them with more of the same color before popping them up with dimensional adhesive. Then a few silvery clear enamel dots to finish the card.
My second card today is colored in the same way. Stamped and heat embossed on Strathmore Bristol Smooth card stock, colored with the Zig markers and shaded and blended with a water brush. I fussy cut all the pieces (therapy for me) and adhered them to a MFT Die-Namics Wonky Stitched Square die cut but left intact square card panel and stamped and colored the sentiment below it.
My grandson got a new puffy winter coat recently and he’s quite pleased about it for a 22 month old! I can see using these images for a scrapbook layout about that!
I also have a Dani the Deer stamp and die set I’m excited to use! Thankfully, it has several sentiments that stretch it’s use well beyond the Christmas card season! Watch for those cards soon!
Enjoy all the Boxing Day sales and thank you for stopping by today!
