This delightful stamp set is part of the monthly Animal House subscription set, but can also be purchased from the shop without a subscription.

To begin this slimline card, I stamped the birds and blooms onto Neenah Classic Crest 110 lb paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and die cut them with the coordinating dies.

I used alllll the Copic markers and Altenew Artist Markers to color the birds and blooms, and I’m sorry, I didn’t keep track of all the colors.

I also die cut some leaves from cardstock using the Simon Says Stamp Etched Laurel Leaves (Sm) dies and the Detailed Elm Leaves dies, then colored the die cuts with alcohol based markers too.

I die cut a slimline card panel of 110 lb Neenah Classic Crest cardstock using the Honey Bee Rectangle Windows Trio die, and using the die cut openings as a guide, ink blended some blue sky on the front of the folded card base.

I positioned a couple of the greeting stamps from the Happy Hummingbirds stamp set on the card base and the die cut card panel and stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink and heat set with clear embossing powder.

I tucked and fussed, and tucked some more until I was happy with the arrangement of each of the components of the design and then I covered everything with a sheet of Glad Press N Seal to keep the pieces in place while I applied adhesive to the backs of each one and adhered everything to the folded card base.

I love every Hummingbird stamp set I ever see, but this one might actually be at the top of the list, with that tail on the one bird, and the clean, unfussy lines. And as always, Technique Tuesday’s puny sentiments are just the BEST.

Thank you so much for stopping by to see what’s new, and have a wonderful week!
