The Echinacea stamp and die combo is the August Greenhouse Society offering, one of several amazing monthly subscriptions Technique Tuesday offers but is also available in the shop for individual purchase.

For my first card, I stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink onto Neenah Solar White Classic Crest cardstock, and heat set with clear embossing powder, then colored with Copic markers. I stamped one of the sentiments in the set onto black cardstock and heat set with white embossing powder before trimming to a narrow strip and adhering it on top of the flowers.

I used the coordinating die to cut out the stamped and colored image as well as two more layers of cardstock to pop up the shape a little, but not a lot. I die cut the chevron lined paper with the MFT Scalloped Edges Dies and laid it overtop of some dotted paper from MFT Happy Trails paper pad. Then a few matching button dots finish the card.

My second card with this stamp and die set is stamped onto watercolor paper and clear heat embossed. This time I colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and a wet paint brush to do the blending.

I splattered the finished piece with puddles of color made by scribbling the brush markers onto an acrylic surface and picking up the pigment with a wet paint brush. Then I die cut the stitched card panel using Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle dies, wrapped the card panel with some black & white bakers twine and popped up the panel with some foam tape behind.

The green plaid paper is from the Simple Stories Hip Hop Hurrah paper pad and the “thanks” sentiment is another in the Echinacea Stamp and Die set.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a safe and happy holiday!
