Hi, hello! I’m up on the Technique Tuesday blog today with a couple of cards that I wanted to share here as well. I’m using the Blooming Branches stamp and die sets that are the June Greenhouse Society release.
I created these two cards in a muted color palette that was easy to produce because I rarely, if ever, clean my paint palette and often, interesting color combinations result.
The first card is done in a monochrome palette using black, grey, green and brown paints. Once painted and dry, I used the coordinating die to die cut the image and adhered it to a stitched rectangle die cut with a Heffy Doodle die set.
I stamped a sentiment from the Technique Tuesday Find Beauty stamps set (one of my very favorites) onto the grey cardstock and heat embossed with white embossing powder before adding a layer of dimensional foam tape to the back of the card panel and the overhanging leaves and stem. I completed the card by adhering the image and card panel to a bold background pattern on the front of a card base, and adding a few charcoal sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.
The second card is stamped and heat embossed as above, but this time I painted with shades of brown/red and green/purple. Once more, I die cut the image and this time I adhered it over top a combination of patterned paper and coordinating cardstock.
The “hello” is die cut 3 times from cardstock using the die included with the coordinating dies to the Blooming Branches stamp set. I glued each layer to create a stacked sentiment, and stamped the “friend” using one of the gray inks from Altenew. A few matching enamel dots complete the card.
These cards are posted on the Technique Tuesday blog today and I recommend your clicking on over for more in depth details. Don’t forget that you can subscribe to this or any other of the Technique Tuesday stamp and die subscriptions to receive each month’s release automatically and save some money at the same time! Have a wonderful day!
