Stampendous Fishy Fun Card

Hello, hi! I have another colored card to share today! We’re in the middle of another #thedailymarker30day coloring challenge and that always inspires me to get out the coloring tools and cute stamps! This time I’m using the Fishy Fun Perfectly Clear stamp set from Stampendous, along with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.

For the purpose of adapting the challenge to my own liking and not just coloring every day but completing a card as well (not totally successful with the every day part, but I try), I like to keep the coloring fairly simple. So instead of stamping, masking, and creating a scene (you know I’d never create a scene!) I simply stamped an assortment of cute fish from the stamp set to loosely fill in the underwater scene. I did that HERE too recently. Just a fun coloring exercise that makes for a fun card when finished.

As you can see, I can use all the alcohol marker coloring practice I can get! Pale background fill-ins are HARD! I added a stylized shadow around each of the shapes and went lighter from there. I added one of the sentiments from the set at the top, and adhered the colored panel to a Neenah solar white cardstock base. Where the white top of the card got lost against the card base, I added the black outline with a black Tombow marker. Finally, some clear flat sequins to mimic the look of air bubbles. Fun! Easy! Done!

Thanks for stopping by again, and have a wonderful day!
