Spellbinders Painted Floral Garland Card

Hello friends, I have another Spellbinders card to share with you today! The April Club Kit for the Clear Stamp of the Month set was multifaceted with both a birthday candle theme and a floral theme. You might remember the birthday candle card I made here? Both the floral garland and the birthday candles coordinate beautifully with the Glimmer Hot Foil Kit – which is sold out right now, but will be restocked.

The layering stamps I used for today’s card include the curved vine stamp which I stamped with Ranger Distress ink in the Iced Spruce color. Before it dried completely, I used a wet paint brush to paint over the lines to thin and spread the color.

Then I stamped each of the three floral cluster stamps onto the branch image with Tattered Rose Distress ink and did the same as the branches – painting over the stamped shapes with a clean, wet brush.

I smeared more of the Iced Spruce ink onto a painting palette then used the wet brush to mix and dilute the pigment, then added some simple leaves along both sides of the stamped bough.

I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from this month’s Club Kit and heat embossed with Platinum embossing powder, then fussy cut the top edge of the stamped and painted flower garland.

I paired the painted stamped image with a grey pinstriped patterned paper from the Reverse Confetti Free Spirit paper pad, and completed the card with a few matching enamel dots – probably my favorite way to embellish a project!

Thank you for stopping by today! Please feel free to check out the many Club Kit subscriptions Spellbinders offers, multiples of which can be bundled for extra savings! Have a lovely day!
