Spellbinders Build-A-Spring Birdhouse Cards

Hi, hello! I’m back today with a couple more cards that I made with Birdhouses Through the Seasons Collection by Vicky Papaioannou for Spellbinders! I used the Build a Spring Birdhouse and the Sweet Birds on a Branch die sets to make these 2 cards.

My first card features the little bird dies from the Sweet Birds on a Branch Dies set, plus the tree branch and leaves in that set. I die cut everything from Neenah Solar White cardstock, then colored the pieces with Copic markers. You could easily cut the pieces from colored cardstock and go from there, but I have more color choices in Copic markers than I do in cardstock. (For now, at least. ;-D)

I die cut the flowers using dies from the Spring Birdhouse dies set, and Copic colored them as well. I tried to go in a sort-of-rainbow color order, but I only used 5 birdies so it’s not perfect, but whatevs, right?

I used a sentiment stamp set from Spellbinders/Fun Stampers Journey called Spread Love, stamping in in the center of an A2 sized card panel, with Versafine Onyx black ink and heat setting with clear embossing powder.

Then I adhered the branches, birds, leaves and flowers to surround and snug up to the greeting. I trimmed the card panel 1/8” on all sides and matted with some coordinating patterned paper from the Brutus Monroe Bold Rainbow pad.

My second card features the nest, eggs and flowers die cuts from the Build A Spring Birdhouse die set, along with the branch and leaves die cuts from the Sweet Birds on a Branch set.

Again, I die cut from white cardstock and colored with Copic markers before adhering everything to a plain cardstock panel. I have in mind that this card will go to a couple expecting twins! But I also have an extra egg that I can tuck in for triplets if necessary! Cute, right?!

I selected an appropriate greeting from the Spread Love sentiment stamp set and stamped and heat embossed as above. The mat patterned paper for this card is from the MFT Party Plaid paper pad.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have an awesome day!
