I have two cards to share today, both made with the lovely Spring Bouquet stamp set from the Born To Sparkle release. Both of these gorgeous floral stamps are included in the set!

For my first card I stamped the arrangement onto watercolor cardstock with Versafine Onyx Black ink and heat set with clear embossing powder. Then I used my Mijello Mission Gold watercolors to paint the arrangement.

I used the leftover paint mixes to dilute and paint a pale, washy background that coordinates with the flowers, then once that was dry, added paint speckles to finish.

To finish the card, I used a metal ruler and Xacto blade to cut a straight line on either side of the florals, then fussy cut the bottom portion of the leaves and flower arrangement.

I paired the painted flowers with a textured cardstock that complimented the paint colors I’d used, and stamped “love you” from the Spring Bouquet stamp set and the “mom” from the Sassy Mama stamp set from last month’s release. I stamped with more Versafine ink and heat set with clear embossing powder.

Finally, I covered the back of the painted panel with foam tape to pop it up over top of the colored cardstock panel.

For my second card, I used the other floral arrangement stamp in the Spring Bouquet set and stamped it diagonally across a slimline card panel of watercolor paper.

I positioned the stamp and paper in the MISTI so that I could stamp once in one direction, then flip the paper panel around and stamp again on the other half of the panel. I stamped with Versamark ink and heat set with gold embossing powder.

I painted these flowers and leaves very simply, again using Mijello Mission Gold watercolor paints. When dry, I splattered with more paint coordinate and “finish” the card.

I used the large Congrats on a Line die from this release to die cut the sentiment from gold cardstock, along with an accent strip to run along the bottom of the card.
