Day 22 and 23 of The Daily Marker Coloring Challenge

Between birthday parties for 2 year old grandsons and the sewing of birthday present projects for said 2 year old, I’ve been falling down on the current coloring challenge hosted by Kathy Racoosin, but I finally took some time to color and create these cards!

It was so fun to pull out the Distress markers again and color with them and a water brush! It had been too long!

I stamped the Winnie & Walter Bed of Roses stamp twice on a piece of Strathmore Bristol Smooth card stock and used all the pink/red/coral shades of pens that I had.

For the card above I used the Simon Says Stamp stitched rectangle dies to die cut and inlay the floral image into the die cut opening of the card panel. I also die cut the word “thanks” from this Simon Says die set, that coordinates with this stamp set from which I selected the stamped sentiment to go with.

I treated the second card much the same as the first, but this time created a window that is popped up above the stamped and colored image. I used the MFT Peek A Boo stitched window die to create the opening and stamped the sentiment with this Mama Elephant Scripty Notes stamp set.

Here’s a card you may already have seen on Instagram, which I posted yesterday. I colored a stamp image from Stampendous, called Sweet Pea Bouquet, again, on Bristol smooth card stock with Distress Markers and a water brush. It’s just so cheerful and it reminds me of summer in the backyard where I grew up.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!
