Good morning again! I’m back with a few new projects to share as part of the gorgeous Altenew + PinkFresh Collaboration Blog Hop! You should be arriving from Christina’s blog, but if not, please click back to the start of the hop at the Altenew Card Blog. There’s a lot of great inspiration and you don’t want to miss any of it! If you’re looking for my Greetery post, please continue scrolling.
This release is in a Celebratory theme and includes some beautiful stamp sets, along with coordinating 6×6″ paper pads, 12×12″ paper packs, ephemera packs and more! I made a couple of cards (as I am wont to do!), a traveler’s notebook layout and a good old fashioned scrapbook page!
These two cards are made using the Celebrate Us and Celebrate Today Stamp and Dies, also available in a bundle.
For this card I stamped a background of black images using the Celebrate Today Stamp Set, stamping with Obsidian Black ink onto textured green cardstock from my stash. Then I stamped the layers of the Celebrate Us Stamp set and die cut it with the coordinating die.
I added a simple sentiment with the shadowed “thankful” dies in the Celebrate Us die set, die cut from black and white cardstocks and layered together.
My second card is stamped with the Celebrate Today Stamp Set. I used embossing ink to stamp onto one of the papers in the Celebrate 6×6″ paper pad, and for a very subtle effect, heat set with clear embossing powder.
Then I stamped a greeting from the same stamp set with embossing ink and antique gold embossing powder then die cut it with the Apothecary Nesting Label Dies. I made a little “nest” of gold thread, popped up the greeting label and adhered it over top of the thread and card panel.
I find this patterned paper collection so beautiful and versatile for many occasions, including a wedding layout in my traveler’s notebook. I used one of the papers in the 12×12″ Celebrate paper pack on the left side of the layout, opposite a plain white page on the right.
On the right I combined another of the stamp layered floral from the Celebrate Us stamp and die set, along with pieces of ephemeral from the Celebrate ephemera pack. I stamped some “journaling” with the Forever In Love stamp set using Obsidian Black ink.
Some of the extra details on the left hand page include photo mats (journaling tags), the “love” in the title and some leafy die cuts, all from the Celebrate ephemera pack.
Lastly, I have a 12×12″ scrapbook layout. I’ll be perfectly honest….I haven’t made one of these in a very long time, but it was kind of like riding a bike, y’know?? I combined one of the gorgeous full sheets in the 12×12″ Celebrate paper pack (the background, with the paint-swished edges) along with some hand cut grey florals from another full 12×12″ paper in the pack. I used a 3rd small floral print sheet to mat the photos and the title (you can see it peeking from behind the vellum title layer).
For the title, I die cut the letters using the Fine Alphabet Die set, cutting from more of the pink/peach paper in the 6×6″ Celebrate paper pack.
I typed some journaling and added the strips overtop of layers of die cuts from the Celebrate ephemera pack, as well as some extra die cut pieces from the Create-A-Wreath Die set, the Layered Rose die set and some stamped and die cut leaves from the Leaf Clusters stamp and dies set. Oh, and there’s a gold vellum Apothecary Nesting Label die cut underneath it all as well!
For the title, I combined the “happy” die cut from the ephemera pack with a stamped word from the Birthday Builder stamp set. I wanted the title to blend in a little to the overall layout, but not to completely be lost, so I used a strip of vellum, ink blended on the back side with the new Ink Blending Tool to give it that soft pink color, to separate the title from everything else around it.
That’s a lot today! Thank you for sticking to the end! As always, there are prizes! There are TWO grand prizes(entire collection worth $85.5) from Altenew and Pinkfresh Studio up for grabs.
