Altenew Folksy Florals

Hi, hello!

I’m up on the Altenew blog today with a couple of cards I made using the Folksy Florals stamp and die set.

I love the look of die cut patterned paper shapes, so that’s what I was going for here.  With the coordinating stamp set I was able to add some cute detail to the leaves and flower stems too.

After pulling scraps from my patterned paper stash and die cutting an assortment of flower shapes in different colors, I brushed the edges with Altenew inks in slightly darker shades than the paper to give them some extra definition.  Then I stamped the leaves with the “texture” stamps in Moss and Evergreen Altenew Dye inks.

For the card above I cut out the center panel to create a frame and then used the center panel on the second card to give a “base” for the flowers to adhere to.  I added some loose doodle pen lines to frame the opening on the card above, but decided to let the sentiment stand alone on the second card.

I love the variety of ways the flower parts and pieces can be combined to create so many different kinds of flowers.

Thanks for stopping by today!  If you’re interested in any of the products I’ve used, click on the links below.
