Altenew Cards Combining Stencils with Stand Alone Dies

Hello, hi! I have a post up on the Altenew blog today where I share a couple of projects that combine stenciling with stand-alone dies. I won’t go into the depth of detail in this post, but just wanted to share the cards here too.

I used the newly released Altenew Crisp Dye inks to create these cards and paired each with outline die cuts cut from heavy weight black cardstock.

For the first card, I used the 5-in-1 Meadow Burst Layering stencil to create the floral spray on the card front.

Then I die cut leaves and a flower (3 separate pieces) using the Rose Queen and Flowing Foliage die sets, and pieced them together so that they look like a single die cut.

I used the Bitterroot Flower 3-in-1 layering stencils to create the luscious floral arrangement on this card front, again, using inks from the Sparkle and Shine release.

Then I die cut leaves and flowers with the Festive Clusters and Hanging Garden die sets, cutting from heavy-weight black cardstock.

Both cards have sentiments stamped from the Pots and Plants Stamp set and are trimmed along the bottom with coordinating patterned papers from my stash. Long live the tiny scraps that get to come back to life on a different project, amirite??

Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
