Altenew Artist Marker Colored Washi Tape Cards

Hi, hello! I’m back to share some cards with you that I have posted on the Altenew Card Blog today! If at first glance, you thought these cards are stamped, colored and die cut images, you would be excused for thinking that, but you’d also be wrong. They are WASHI tape, y’all! But basically, coloring book washi tape!! It’s all black and white pattern for you to use as is, or to tint or color how you like!

I started with a whole card panel covered with the Botanical Rhapsody Washi Tape, colored it with the alcohol based Altenew Artist Markers then matted it with a grey cardstock – the same grey cardstock that I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment from the Bold Bunch stamp set onto.

I mounted the sentiment with foam tape adhered overtop a nest of embroidery cotton and added a few black enamel dots to complete it.

The next two cards are pretty similar, in that, they were both made by covering a few more A2 sized pieces of cardstock with more washi tape and coloring the assorted blooms and leaves before fussy cutting them all.

With all of the colored and hand cut blooms and leaves laid out, I arranged and fiddled until I was happy with each card layout and glued them all down. The “best wishes” sentiment is stamped from the Dainty Swiss Dots stamp set, and the “congrats” is black cardstock die cut with a die from the Signature Words die set. The grey plaid and polka dot patterned papers are from Core-dinations.
