I have a new card to share with you today, as well as some old ones that I’ve created in the past and wanted to re-post today for you to see just how beautiful the Altenew collection of washi tapes is!

This card, start to finish, took me 20 minutes and a ridiculous percentage of that time was spent looking for the exact right shade of blue cardstock to compliment the floral design! The point though, is there is nothing that makes a faster, beautiful card than using the wide, decorative washi tapes available at Altenew!

I used the Monochromatic Wide Washi tape for today’s card, and simply laid a strip of the part of the design on the tape that I liked, over a plain A2 sized card panel and adhered it. I fussy cut it out (that would account for the other chunk of time spent on this card) and adhered it to a blue cardstock panel, stamped and white heat embossed. A few enamel dots, and done!

Here are three other cards I made using the same technique, although this washi tape – Botanical Rhapsody – comes plain, black and white, so I colored it with Altenew Artist markers before fussy cutting. I

I used the Misty Meadows washi tape to create three of these four cards, using the full width of the roll for one card, a portion of the design on a square die cut for the 2nd and another fussy cut element for the third.

These two cards are still among my favorites! I used the Painted Orchids washi roll, adhering it to plain cardstock and fussy cutting the individual elements.

In the case of these two cards, I used the washi tapes straight off the rolls. I used Floral Field washi for the black card – doesn’t it look amazing against the black cardstock? – and the set of 4 graduated blues in the Sweet Dreams washi set, along with a strip of gold foil washi tape to create the striped card.

As you can see, there are so many beautiful ways to use washi tape to make card making so fast and easy, and I encourage you to try some yourself! You can shop the entire collection here, plus I’ve added links below to the specific tapes I’ve featured today.
