The Greetery – Gathered Blessings Reveal – Day 2

Hello, hi! Thanks for coming back for Day 2 of The Greetery’s reveal blog hop! I have a couple of cards to share today, that I made with products from the Gathered Blessings collection being released on Friday! There are more products being featured today on the blog hop that haven’t reached me yet, but oh boy, when they do! Be on the look out for that!

Once again, you should be arriving here from Kelly’s blog, and if not, this link will take you to the start so you don’t miss anything. The complete blog hop list is at the end of this post.

I used the Blessed Blooms stamp set for these cards today. There are matching dies that would make it quicker and easier to built arrangements but they are still winging their way to me, and I do like the single layer look too!

I began on each card, with the greeting. There are a multitude of options for sentiments in this set, and I built mine line by line. For the “autumn blessings” card, I stamped with Versafine Onyx black ink and heat set with clear embossing powder.

Then I built an arrangement around the sentiment with the small layered stamps using Altenew inks in the colors of Frayed Leaf and Moss for the leaves, Vanilla Cream, Hazelnut and Almond Butter for the various blooms and Velvet ink for the berries. Then a few matching enamel dots complete the card. I trimmed the card panel a generous 1/4 inch along the left side and added a coordinating strip of patterned paper, then drew stitch lines from top to bottom.

From the same stamp set, I created another card that could be stamped as a single layer card (but I love my contrasting mat edges, so…).

This time I stamped with Industrial Diamond ink for the slightly-lighter-than-black greeting and stamped it again with Versamark ink so I could heat set with clear embossing powder. This kind of double-stamping trick is best done with a stamping tool like the MISTI or a stamp positioner tool.

I used Limestone and Silver Stone for the leaf layers and Blush and Rouge inks for the flower layers, then completing the card with a few enamel dots.

That’s it for me today, but as I mentioned before, there will be more projects coming once my additional dies arrive! The entire collection will be available in the store on Friday, August 28 at 10am EDT.

Your next stop on the hop is Wanda’s blog. The complete blog hop list is below. Remember to leave a comment on each of the stops for a chance to have your name/comment drawn to win a $50 gift card for the Day 2 blog hop. Winners will be announced Friday morning when the release goes live.
