Day 1 Products:

  • Springtime Stamp Set
  • Springtime Die
  • Print Shop: Spring Mix stamp + stencil
  • Print Shop: Spring Mix die

My first card today features the Print Shop: Spring Mix sets, stamps, stencils and a die (which I didn’t use). I began by stenciling all over an A2 card panel with the 5 layers of stencils, then adding details with the accompanying stamp set.

I tried to keep my touch as light and airy as possible, this flower garden just inspired me that way! The Altenew ink colors I used are as follows:

  • Persian Blue, Caribbean Sky
  • Butternut, Pumpkin Pie
  • Vanilla Cream, Pastel Sunrise, Canyon Clay
  • Frayed Leaf + Misty Morning, Forest Glade + Cloudy Sky

After stenciling and stamping the details, I stamped a greeting from the Spring Mix stamp set with Versafine Onyx black ink and heat set with clear embossing powder. Then I die cut the panel using the largest of the Nordic Frames dies.

I wanted to give some extra dimension in the foreground of the flower garden so I dug through past Greetery sets and found some with stems that I felt, complimented these blooms. I used pieces from the Merry Sprigs and Floral Frame sets, inked in soft colors that coordinate with the background. I chose to emphasize the blues in the flower garden with a dusky blue cardstock mat.

Next up is a cute, springtime version of the holiday hourglass die set from last year! And what is better than options when it comes to stretching your already-owned supplies?!

I die cut all the pieces from Neenah white cardstock and either stamped them with the matching stamps, or colored them with Copic markers depending on it’s shape and purpose. For example, the grassy hills, hourglass outline shape and hourglass frame are all Copic colored, with shading added to give dimension.

The pieces inside the hourglass are die cut, then stamped and all the greetings in the set coordinate with the banners from the Christmas Time Sentiments set. I stamped only the stripes layer of the umbrella to achieve the black and white look, then stamped individual rain drops over top. The idea of a bunny carrying an umbrella during some April showers kind of kills me!

The Greetery will be giving away two $50 gift certificates each day, and comments from each of the blogs in the hop will be included in the giveaways.
