Reverse Confetti – Stock Your Stash – Birthday Theme

Hey, hi! Today I have a card and a post for the Reverse Confetti Challenge to Stock your Stash, with a birthday theme, and I’ve used the recently released stamps and dies (appropriately with a celebratory party theme)! I’m actually running low on Birthday cards, so I’m very glad that it’s the SYS theme for May!

I combined stamps from the Punny Party and The Bear Up There stamps, Letter Cuts for the greeting and Beautiful Balloons for the “birthday” sentiment stamp. I stamped all the shapes onto Neenah Solar White cardstock with Copic friendly ink, then die cut all the shapes with the coordinating dies.

I colored each of the party animals with Copic markers to look like a child’s stuffies and Copic-ombre-colored the Letter Cuts “WISHES” greeting to coordinate with the fun colored animals.

To make the overlapping “birthday wishes” stamped greeting, I began by placing the A2 sized card panel in the MISTI and stamping the “birthday” stamp. Then I arranged the individual letters of the “wishes” word and taped them together with a long strip of low tack washi tape along the bottoms. I taped them in position over top of the stamped word on the card panel and closed the MISTI door to add “birthday” to the die cut letters in the exact same position. Then it was simple to glue the letters onto the card panel, aligning them with the word below.

After adhering the letter cuts in place, I added a strip of green striped patterned paper along the bottom to suggest grass, then glued the animals on top, added the clouds to the “wishes” and stamped and colored some stars to embellish.
