Hey, hello! I have a post up at Altenew today and wanted to let you know so that you can check it out! I was inspired once again by Laura Ashley, and I used some Altenew products to do some paper quilting!

The primary Altenew product I used for these cards is the Blobby Roses Layering Stencils and coordinating Die set. These items were released a few weeks back while I was away, so I’ve been dying to share them now!
Even all this time later, I still can’t get over the richness of texture on this card! I began by stenciling all over an A2 sized card panel, (ink colors listed below), then running the cardstock through a die cutting machine with the Circle Quilt Cover Die, using the rubber pad to impress rather than cut.
Then I traced stitch lines with a Fine Liner Pen and trimmed the card panel slightly smaller than A2. For the flower adornment, I die cut several layers of the Layered Rose Die set from watercolor paper, and the outline die from vellum paper. I stacked them together with the vellum sandwiched between the first and second layers from the top and painted the top layer with watercolor paints. I adhered them to the textured card front using strong liquid glue, then added a Sentiment Strips greeting.
For me second card, I ran another cardstock panel through the die cutting machine with the rubber pad again to impress instead of cutting. This time though, I die cut the Blobby Roses dies and left them in their die cut opening to make stenciling easier.
I stenciled several blooms and leaves, then arranged the die cuts on the card front until I had a pleasing arrangement. I stamped the letters spelling ‘YOU’ with the Tall Lowercase Alpha stamps and dies, and die cut the word ‘hello’ from heavyweight black card stock with the All About You Word dies.
Both cards are trimmed smaller than A2 size and then matted with colored or white cardstock and finished with flat clear sequins and coordinating enamel dots.
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
