Gina K Designs + Melanie Muenchinger – Embroidered Flowers Cards

Hey there friends! I’m back again today to share with you some cards I made using a new stamp set released by Gina K Designs from artist and designer Melanie Muenchinger!

This gorgeous floral set called Embroidered Flowers is created to mimic the look of stitched florals and these days my heart is equally torn between stamping flowers and stitching them, so you can imagine how pleased I was to be able to play with a stamp set that perfectly intersects those two things!

I chose to use solid, neutral colors for these cards, (probably the same as I would if I were working with a needle and thread), and for the first one, I chose to stamp with Versamark embossing ink and heat emboss with white embossing powder.

I paired a single large bloom from the Embroidered Flowers stamp set, along with a variety of leaf images, with the lovely sentiment stamp from the Scripty Encouragement stamp set from Gina K! I started by lining up the sentiment stamp where I wanted it, then anchored it by tucking the flower and leaf images in around the sentiment, stamping and heat embossing them.

I diluted some white acrylic paint with water and used that to splatter the white drops all over. I die cut the card panel using a Stitched Rectangle Die. Then finally, I added some white and clear enamel dots then adhered it to a white card base.

The next couple of cards use other assorted floral images from the Embroidered Flowers stamp set. This time I also added a sentiment from the Embroidered Flowers stamp set, and heat embossed with platinum embossing powder.

I trimmed the card panel along one side and added a narrow strip of patterned paper to tie-in but not overwhelm the whole card. Then a few platinum colored glitter enamel dots to complete the card.

Lastly, I created an arrangement of roses with more of the individual stamps in this set, and used a “thank you” sentiment from the same set.

This time I stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder, die cut the card panel with a Die-Namics pierced rectangle die and mounted it with Fun Foam onto a matching polka-dotted pattern paper. I added an unrelated mix of enamel dots/gems to finish off this card.

The possibilities for combinations and arrangements with these floral images are endless and so fun! The set includes some flower centers for simple two-step stamping and there’s also a coordinating die set for the bigger flowers. You can find this stamp set and more here and here.

Thanks so much for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!
