Altenew November 2018 Stamp/Die/Ink/Sticker Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hey, hi!  I’m hopping with Altenew today and we have an exciting November release to share with you!  If you’ve arrived here from the blog of Olga Moss, you are on the right track!  If you’ve happened along by chance, you can go back to the beginning of the hop at the Altenew Card Blog.

This month, besides the usual beautiful stamps and dies, there are also new ink colors as well as a selection of stickers!  Wait, what?  Stickers?  Yes!  The kind you can use to coordinate with your cards and seal your envelopes!  And maybe also use ON your cards and paper projects!

My first card was created with the Handpicked Bouquet stamp set.  It’s another versatile set that allows you to color your images with layers of stamped color OR fill in the outline with pencils, brushes or markers.  I used the layered stamps and stamped an all-over background that only needed a stand-out sentiment for it’s focal point.  The sentiment comes from the Wild Ferns stamp set and is heat embossed with white embossing powder.

I added one of the matching stickers from the Envelope Stickers roll (there are 100 stickers of 8 different designs) to compliment my card.

Next up is a card made with the already mentioned Wild Ferns stamp and die set.  This set is comprised of 3 solid silhouette leaves that can stand alone, plus 2 additional layers for definition.  I used pale inks to stamp a background on a card front, and stronger ink colors to stamp one of each of the fern leaves which I then die cut.  I also die cut a frame, popped it up with dimensional foam adhesive and tucked the die cut leaves into and behind the frame.  The “hello” sentiment is another from the Wild Ferns set.

Here is another of the envelope stickers on the roll.

Lastly, I created a couple of cards using the Engraved Flowers stamp and die set.

This stamp set is made up of several beautiful outline stamps that I colored with Artist Markers (above) and Watercolor Brush Markers (below).

For both cards, I partially die cut the stamped and colored image, using an Xacto knife to cut the bottom away from the die cut portion.  I also cut 3 more layers of card stock to layer behind the partial die cut image to add extra dimension.  I stamped more images from the same stamp set on the background patterned paper, added a sentiment to the colored image portion and adhered all the layers to a card base.  The sentiments for these two cards come from the Handpicked Bouquet stamp and die set.

Here is another of the matching envelope stickers.

To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $50 gift certificate to 6 lucky winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog and/or Altenew Scrapbook Blog by November 18, 2018 for a chance to win. 6 winners will be announced on the Altenew blogs on November 21, 2018.  As well, I will be drawing one name from the comments left here on this blog post, to win a $30 gift certificate to Altenew!  I will announce the winner on November 18, 2018.
