Hi, hello! I’m just popping in today to let you know that I have a post up over at the Altenew Card Blog where I share some fun products and a cool technique, called partial die cutting. You will find more details there than here, but didn’t want you to miss out if you’re not an Altenew regular. (But you should be.)

I used the Wavy Rose stamp set, one of my most FOALs! (faves of all time!) I stamped on Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock because I planned to color with watercolor brush markers and that cardstock is the bomb! Smooth, not like watercolor paper, and lets the pigment blend and slide without absorbing super fast! I just wish it were a little whiter!
Card #1
I stamped into the corner so that I could die cut just the corner portion. Full instructions for that over on the Altenew post. I stamped with embossing ink and heat set with clear embossing powder for an almost-not-there outline look.
I colored with the Desert Night, Lime, Purple Wine, Sunkissed and Fresh Lemon markers in the Tropical Fiesta watercolor marker set.
The greeting is from the Magnolia Ballerina stamp set. I popped up the cardstock panel with Instant Dimension foam tape and added some clear sequins to finish.
Card #2
Same cardstock and watercolor brush markers as the first card, but this time I started by stamping the sentiment, then positioning the stamp above and then below the greeting, being sure to center and line up the flower stamp perfectly!
This time I die cut twice, to remove only the top and bottom edges and used an Xacto knife to trim away the sentiment band.
More foam tape and clear sequins finish off this card!
Thanks so much for stopping by, I appreciate every one of you so much! Kiss!!
