Reverse Confetti Inspiration Station Wedding Cake Card

My inspiration photo came from Pinterest of course and is saved in my Cakes and Parties boards, and even though I know I will never actually make a cake like this, it is beautiful to look at and it inspired my card today!

I used the Have Your Cake stamps and coordinating dies from the recent Birthday release to create my card, stamping 4 layers of cake and adorning them with different decorations on each layer.

I stamped the two floral arrangements in the set as well and die cut all the pieces. Then I arranged them together and tacked them in place with a piece of tape on the back.

I stamped with Versamark embossing ink onto Neenah Solar White cardstock, and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. Next, I stamped the “congratulations” sentiment from the Hooray stamp set (free with a purchase!) onto a narrow strip of vellum paper, gold heat embossed it and wrapped the strip around the card front.

To assemble the card, I cut a piece of gold vellum paper from my stash (Michael’s though) to cover a folded card base, then cut a white cardstock panel with the Oval Window Cover Panel, trimmed it slightly smaller than A2 size and popped it up with foam adhesive.

I popped up the cake with more foam adhesive and tucked it in underneath the vellum sentiment strip. Finally, I added some gold sequins to finish the card!
