Hi, hello! I’m up on the Altenew Card Blog today with a few fun projects, and thought I would share them here as well!

The Autumn Bounty stamp set includes two beautiful images and a multitude of sentiments in both script and plain font form, so that you can make up any greeting in a pleasing dual font design.
I stamped all of today’s projects onto Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock because I wanted to use Altenew Watercolor Brush Markers and I love how they move and blend on that paper. For the card above, I stamped the leafy frame with Obsidian Pigment ink and heat set with clear embossing powder before die cutting using the coordinating Autumn Bounty dies.
I die cut the frame opening as well, positioned it on the patterned paper background panel and stamped the greeting inside the frame. I added some ink splatters and adhered the die cut frame to the card front. It’s both simply beautiful and beautifully simple!
My next card is made using the floral pumpkin stamp, also stamping with Obsidian Pigment ink onto Strathmore cardstock and heat setting with clear embossing powder.
I used a variety of Watercolor Brush Markers from all three marker sets to color, and a wet paint brush to aid with the blending. Once finished, I die cut the image, and two more layers of heavy cardstock to stack behind.
For the background, I used the recently release Castle Motifs stencil and blended four colors of Altenew inks to coordinate with the colors in the waterbrush colored image. After removing the stencil, I ink blended again with the same colors over the same areas to create a subtle blended tone-on-tone. I combine three different sentiments to create the greeting and stamped it directly onto the background panel once the stenciled ink had fully dried. Finally I adhered the stacked die cuts onto the card front and let that be enough for this card.
My last project is place cards for our Thanksgiving table. There may only be the two of us this year…we’ll see…but if there are more, I will happily make more of these name cards – they’re that easy to do!
I stamped again on Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock but this time embossed with Platinum embossing powder. Once I had finished with the coloring I partially die cut the left and right side edges, and then the top so it could fold back and have the stem and leaves stand upright above the fold. I practiced my hand lettering for our names and when I had a version on typing paper that I liked, I laid a strip of vellum paper over top and traced the names. Then I folded the strip into a banner, and trimmed fish-tails on the ends. I used a dot of glue on the backside to invisibly keep the banner in place.
I trimmed the backside of the fold shorter so that when sitting on the table, you can see the pretty place card better from above.
I love this stamp set and it’s got me solidly in the mood for fall projects, and other reasons to send a fall/thankful-themed card.
