Hey, hi! I’m back today with a couple of bright and sassy birthday cards to share! I used some stamp sets from the Sassy Sentiments Stamps and Dies Collection from Technique Tuesday, in particular, the Umpteenth Birthday Stamp Set, and the Sassy Birthday Stamp Set.
For both cards, I stamped the balloons and gifts images onto masking paper and cut them out so that I could build a larger grouping with each image.
For each card, I stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink onto Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock so that I could use Arteza water-based brush markers and a water brush to blend colors.
For the balloon card, I stamped the balloon images without the strings, by covering the strings on the actual stamp with Washi tape, inking up the stamp, removing the masking tape and stamping down onto the paper. Then I used a pencil to draw a faint line where I wanted the lines to collect in a hand drawn bow, and then went over them with a fine tipped Copic Multuliner pen.
Then I used a stitched rectangle die to die cut the stamped and colored card panel and popped it up on some coordinating patterned paper with foam tape. I used a sentiment from the Umpteenth Birthday stamp set, and added some coordinating enamel dots to finish this card.
For the gifts card, I stamped the images as on the balloon card, with Versafine ink onto Bristol Smooth cardstock and colored and blended the gifts with Arteza Brush markers and a water brush. Then I hand cut the group and popped it up with foam tape onto some cute sprinkle patterned paper from HoneyBee. The sentiment for this card comes from the Sassy Birthday Stamp Set and is stamped with Versafine ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.
I matted the card panel on some green cardstock and added a hand-drawn line around the edges as well as adding some colored enamel dots to complete the card.
You can shop these stamps sets at Technique Tuesday where everything in the Sassy Sentiments Stamps and Dies Collection will be 20% off between Sept 22 – 26 using TTSass for the coupon code. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
