Hi, hello! I’m back again with another post, this time featuring a fun technique using Altenew stamps and inks. The sub-title of this blog post should also be “Finding Inspiration Everywhere!” because I created these cards based on the design of an area rug I saw recently in the home of a friend.
These cards are a bit different from the usual colors and designs that you usually see here in my creative space, but I enjoyed the change and the challenge to come up with a way to duplicate what I’d seen in a home decor item. I used the Leaf Canopy stamp and die set, and the Red Cosmos and Cool Summer Night ink sets to create the following cards.
This isn’t the exact area rug I saw, but it’s similar enough for you to see how I was inspired.
