I have a number of cards to share today so lets jump right in! These two cards are made with the Thank You Builder stamp set and the Watercolor Doodles stamp set.
I arranged many of the individual thank you stamps on the MISTI platform to cover an entire A2 sized card stock panel and stamped using Turquoise Crisp Dye ink for the card above, and Forest Glades Crisp Dye ink for the one below.
For the flower images, I built up a couple of different sprigs of the images from the Watercolor Doodles stamp set, and used a variety of inks to add color to the blooms and leaves. I love this set because it is purposefully imprecise and inexact, so no worries about trying to make the images line up perfectly! Once outlined-stamped and fill-stamped, I die cut the panels with a stitched rectangle die and popped it up on a layer of fun foam cut to the exact same size and colored on the edges to match the stamping of the background “thank yous”.
Before we leave the Watercolor Doodles and Thank You Builder stamp sets and move on to the rest of my cards, I have a very CAS card to share.
I used a single leaf branch stamp in the Watercolor Doodles set and created a wreath. I tried it a few times on scratch paper to figure out how many times to repeat the stamp and how close they needed to be. Then I filled in the leaves with the solid images and added two mismatched fonts for the sentiment – my favorite aspect of the word builder stamp sets!
Next up are a couple of Rennie Roses cards. If you saw my recent Mary Engelbreit inspired cards, you’ll recognize why these appeal to me so much!
For this card, I stamped a row of blooms with leaves added into the spaces above, wherever they fit. I colored the blooms in a sort-of-rainbow fashion, added the leaves, and hand cut the bottom of the card following the lines of the blooms, and popped it up overtop of some black and white striped paper. The sentiment is from the Thank You Builder stamp set. I added a single enamel heart shaped embellishment from this embellishment pack to complete the card.
For the second card, I simply stamped a single bloom, added some leaves, colored them, hand cut it all as an individual unit and popped it up with dimensional tape. The sentiment is from the Rennie Roses stamp set. For both cards, I heat embossed the black outlines and did all the coloring with the Altenew Artist Marker pens.
The last two cards I’m sharing today are made with the Versatile Vases stamp set and a single stamp from the Wallpaper Art stamp set.
The first one I stamped with Desert Night Crisp Dye ink and then used a water brush to activate the ink, smudge the edges and loosely fill in the shapes. I used more of the same ink with lots of water to splatter ink spots on the finished card, before matting the die cut card panel with some coordinating card stock. (BTW. Did you know that Altenew carries card stock in MANY colors? Can you guess what is in my cart as we speak!)
The second card was stamped in the very same way, and with the same sentiment (also from the Versatile Vases stamp set) but with black alcohol compatible ink. Then I colored it with Altenew Artist markers and finished up with enamel dots and a strip of black and white paper.
