5 New Traveler’s Notebook Layouts

Hi friends! Remember how I’ve been telling you that I participated in a Scrap Your Stash Zoom event hosted by Love is in the Details, where we were promised we could achieve 10 layouts (30 photos) in one day? I’ve posted 6 of those layouts over the last week and here are the last 5. Yes, I know. 6 + 5 = 11. You know me. Anything worth doing is worth overdoing.

I’ll be honest though. I didn’t complete 10 (11) layouts in one day; I only started them. And I didn’t stick to the prescribed layout designs. That wouldn’t be me. But I got far enough to be motivated to finish them the following week. That’s huge for me! So I wanted to share the last of the layouts this week before I move on to the next jag of layouts. Love is in the Details is celebrating 15 years in business and is hosting a 3 day online crop to mark the occasion! Normally we’d all be together in a hall, with food, and laughter, and challenges and games and chatter and shopping at the store, and more food. Well, not me, normally being all the way in AZ, but by the magic of the Inter Nets and Zooms, we can still be “together” with the food and the challenges and the games and the laughter and the chatter, even in this weird and limited time! You should come check it out, join in and get some creative paper play in!

So anyway, traveler’s notebook layouts! I’m so in love with this smaller format! I keep saying it, but it’s almost wholly responsible for my renewed interest in memory keeping. Don’t worry, card-making isn’t going anywhere, but it is fun to switch gears every once in awhile!

Last year at the OshKosh airshow, Mr B (Papa) saw a booth with kits to build pedal cars in any style of airplane, and taking into account Archie’s passion for VeePapa’s (his word for airplanes, don’t ask, we have NO idea…) he had to get a kit and build it for Archie’s 3rd birthday. Papa had fun building it and Archie is going to have so much fun “flying” it!

Products used on this layout include: Felicity Jane papers, Cocoa Vanilla acetate title, chipboard arrows, black label, Pink Paislee adventure die cut, Michael’s washi tape.

If a paddling pool on a hot day is fun, can you imagine how much it is elevated by the addition of bubble soap? It was enough to draw the neighbor kids over and to produce raisin fingers and toes for hours!

Products used include: Altenew patterned paper, Studio Calico alphabet stamps (Bubbles) and wood alphabets, Elle’s Studio circle die cuts, Honey Bee bubble enamel dots, Michael’s Recollections washi tape, Pebbles Inc duck die cut.

Also at the OshKosh air show which we girls got dragged to (ok willing went along to) my girlfriend and I provided our own entertainment. Big, noisy airplanes flying over head are fun for awhile but then it’s time to make something cute. We just can’t help ourselves. I brought the supplies along, as well as pre-baked and iced cookies and we taught ourselves to mix paint with an alcohol base and “watercolor” paint on cookies! I can do the mass production of one design, but Karen is the artist!

Products used on this layout include: Felicity Jane papers, tags, tabs, washi tapes and rubber flowers, Cocoa Vanilla “Love This” chipboard, Silhouette cut leaf.

Ramona at 1 year is just the sweetest little sugar bean you ever saw! Her aunty did a photo shoot of her (and the rest of the family) on the occasion of her 1st birthday and these are only the first ones I’ve printed and documented!

Products used on this layout include: Felicity Jane sticker letters, chipboard frame, label, floral acetate, and polka dot tag, Studio Calico washi tape, Pebbles Inc puffy bird sticker, Concord & 9th “sunshine” stamp.

When I tell people that we spend so much time in Minnesota, even though we live in Arizona, I also tell them that it’s the love of grandchildren that compels us to endure the northern winters. We are not fans of cold and snow. But we’re proving again, like we did when we raised our family in Canada, that winter is what you make of it. If you go outside and do fun winter things, it’s more endurable. Some days I even believe myself!

Products used on this layout include: Felicity Jane papers, blue label, blue heart, black alphabet stickers, Echo Park woodgrain paper, Kellie Stamps black label, Jane’s Doodles embellishment stamps.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
