Hello, hi! I’m delighted to be repping Altenew today for our turn on Tracey McNeely’s 8th Annual 25 Days of Christmas Tags blog hop!

Because I like to mass produce gift tags, I tried to keep these pretty CAS (clean and simple) and I am in love with the results.

I used the recently released Layered Snowflakes dies and die cut several snowflake shaped “stencils” from thick, heavy card stock. I also used kraft tags from Ranger/Tim Holtz and blue card stock tags from Martha Stewart/Michaels for this project.

The next step was to smear the modeling paste over the various die cut snowflake “stencil” openings and then sprinkle them with glitter before the paste dried. I found that I could use each die cut stencil a few times if I moved quickly, otherwise, the card stock got soft and the edges less crisp. Die cutting from stencil acetate would definitely be the way to go, but I didn’t have any at hand.

I let the paste and glitter dry overnight and then stamped and heat embossed with white embossing powder, the Noel and Happy Holiday phrases from the Peace Love Joy stamp set. I added a combo of seam binding ribbon and jute or baker’s twine for the top and these tags are ready to go!
