Hi, hello! I’m delighted to be participating in a blog hop today to celebrate Hero Arts’ 45 years in the industry and showcasing the Bloom & Grow stamp set – a design collaboration between Hero Arts and Altenew!
You can purchase this beautiful stamp set at either Hero Arts or Altenew.
You should have arrived here from Nichol’s blog, but if not, you can go back to the beginning of the hop at the Hero Arts blog so you don’t miss anything beautiful!
My love affair with platinum embossing powder (as a nice option between silver and gold) continues unabated, so I stamped this gorgeous floral image onto watercolor paper and heat embossed with platinum embossing powder! I used the Altenew watercolor paints to paint the flower and leaves.
The leaves were stamped twice and after painting them, cut out by hand and layered over top of each other underneath the flower petals. For the bloom, I hand cut around the bottom portion of the petals and left the top intact.
I positioned the bloom and leaves where they would allow room for the sentiment, then stamped it onto a cream cardstock card front, and heat embossed with more platinum embossing powder.
The top bloom portion of the card is popped up with foam tape, and the leaves are adhered only underneath the flower petals so that they can lift naturally. I added a narrow strip of coordinating cardstock below the sentiment and let the card be finished at that point.
Your next stop on the hop is Svitlana’s blog. Below, you will find the complete list of hoppers in case you should encounter a broken link.
And of course, there are prizes! Three prize winners will be chosen from comments left across the whole blog hop, and the prizes are:
- One Bloom & Grow stamp set
- One $25 Gift Card for Hero Arts
- One $25 Gift Card for Altenew
Comments can be left until Sunday, Oct 27 and the winners will be announced on the Hero Arts blog the week following.
Norine Borys – you are here!
Thank you for visiting and enjoy the remainder of the hop!
