The Stamp Market Fall Holiday Release Blog Hop

Hello friends!  I’m happy to be joining The Stamp Market for their Fall Holiday Release and Blog Hop!  Such sweet designs made it difficult to choose which ones to work with today!  You should be arriving from the blog of Lea Lawson, and the blog hop began at The Stamp Market’s blog where you’ll also find the blog hop list and more details about the whole release.

Let’s jump right in, shall we?  My first card is made using one of the beautiful floral stamps from the Floral Bouquet stamp set.

I stamped it with Altenew ink – Evening Gray – onto Strathmore Bristol Smooth card stock and colored with a Kuretake Zig Real Brush marker in Brick Beige.  The sentiment is stamped with the same Evening Gray ink color.

Next up is a card that used the same floral stamp, this time on vellum and gold heat embossed.

I also stamped a piece of card stock with the Perfect Polka Dot Background stamp and gold heat embossed it as well.  My intent was to layer the vellum stamped floral image directly over the polka dots, but I found it to be a little too distracting, so I added a 2nd layer of vellum between them to soften the background.

I added a sentiment from the Jane’s Doodles All Occasions stamp set and wrapped the top portion of the card with gold cord.

My last card today might actually be my favorite of the three!  I stamped the larger bloom, the berry stem and the leaves from the Floral Bouquet set with a mask for layering the images.

I stamped each of the images with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.  Then I watercolored the bouquet and added grey shades of paint behind the image to help the white outlines show up better.

The sentiment for this card is from the Merriest Greeting stamp set (two of the loveliest seasonal greetings I’ve seen this year!) from The Stamp Market’s release today, and it’s heat embossed with silver embossing powder.  While it’s not technically a Christmas rose, I feel like the colors lend itself to a Christmas card.  Like those vintagey old cards your Great Aunt used to send, remember?

This is the last stop along the blog hop.  I’m so glad you joined us today!
