Hello, hey! Here I am again, back with another card to share! Technique Tuesday’s September Greenhouse Society stamp and die set is a beautiful Chrysanthemum, and today I’m sharing the first of two cards I made with this set. To see the rest of the September release and the video, click here.
Isn’t it yummy?? I began by randomly stamping the bloom and leaf all over a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock card panel with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
Next, I stamped the bloom, stem and the leaf three times onto more Neenah Solar White cardstock and colored them with Copic markers before die cutting each image with the coordinating dies.
To assemble the card, I cut a piece of vellum paper to an A2 card size and layered it over top the stamped card panel. Then I stamped the sentiment from the Chrysanthemum Stamp Set on a colored card stock strip and cut it to fit along the bottom of the card. The sentiment strip became the first place to hide the adhesive that holds the vellum in place.
Then I positioned each of the stamped, colored and die cut elements into place and adhered them to the top of the vellum panel and then added more adhesive (liquid) on the backside of the vellum underneath the die cuts. I added a few enamel dots to complete the card.
You can find this month’s Greenhouse Society release here, and remember that you can save a little each month by signing up for the Greenhouse Society subscription. You can of course, buy all the stamps and dies individually, but the subscription is a great way to save!
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day! Check back again in a few days for Chrysanthemum card #2!
