Hello, hi! Today is another blog hop, this time with the Jane’s Doodles design team, and we’re showcasing the two latest releases from Jane’s Doodles, called Plumeria, and Kind. You should have arrived here from Galina’s blog, but if not, you can start back at the beginning at Kaja’s blog.
I’m not posting any photos of the stamp sets here, in my small effort to help discourage creative property piracy, but as you might guess, Plumeria, is a stamp set full of lovely images of the Plumeria blossom, which I can not look at without getting all the memory-feelings of the few times I’ve visited Hawaii! The other stamp set in the release is “Kind” and it is made up entirely of beautiful sentiments related to kindness – never an inappropriate message to spread! Both cards are comprised of Plumeria blooms and leaves stamped on Strathmore Bristol smooth card stock, colored with Arteza Real Brush Markers in shades of hot pink and yellow, then hand cut and arranged on the card panels. For the card above I used pinks and yellows together, and created a card panel by die cutting a stitched background with the Reverse Confetti Diagonal Stitches Cover Plate. I stamped one of the sentiments from the Kind stamp set on black card stock and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I added a few Nuvo Drops dots to finish.
I made a second card from blooms colored all in shades of yellows. On the front of this card I scored lines in random patterns to harmonize with the horizontal line of the black sentiment stamped and embossed strip and again, finished with some matching Nuvo Drops.
