This is card reflects my favorite way to “color” this type of outline image – just slapping on some watercolor paint and not worrying overly about an accurate look.
I stamped with Obsidian Black Pigment ink onto Altenew’s bright white watercolor cardstock, and used both the 24 Pan paint set and the 36 Pan Watercolor paint set.
Honestly, with this slapdash method of painting, you can be done and dry in less than half an hour! Perfect for a last-minute card need! To execute this style of painting, I used a large clean wet paint brush to brush water onto the image, then picked up pure pigment from the paint pans and dropped it here and there, as was color-appropriate.
Once the paint was dry I added some black paint speckles. I stamped two of the individual greetings in the Coral Sunset stamp set onto vellum paper, using an embossing ink pad and heat setting with black embossing powder.
I trimmed the vellum sentiment strip with a fishtail end on the left, and wrapped the right side around the trimmed down card panel, then adhered it to a folded card base with a narrow strip of black and white striped patterned paper under the right side edge.
