I have two projects to share today and they feature the Edged Wildflower Die set and the Magnolia Ballerina collection.

My first card is made using the Edged Wildflower die set – a beautiful floral negative/positive die that creates an amazing edge-trimmed design!

I started by paint smooshing color onto an A2 sized card panel of watercolor paper and letting it dry. Then I die cut the watercolor paper and trimmed up the design to fit a 5.5″ card dimension. I die cut 3 more layers of scrap watercolor paper to layer behind the painted top layer.

Positioning the die cut edge of the design over top of a piece of complimentary colored solid cardstock enabled me to see where best to stamp the sentiment – from the Magnolia Ballerina stamp set. I heat set with Platinum embossing powder and I finished off the card with some flat sequins.

Next up is a card that used all the components of the Magnolia Ballerina stamp set, embossing folder and stencils. There are coordinating dies too, but I didn’t use them today.

I began by running an A2 sized piece of watercolor paper (heavier thickness makes for more defined embossed edges) through my die cutting machine with the Magnolia Ballerina embossing folder.

Then I positioned the stencils so that I could add subtle color to the raised design, with Crisp Dye inks and Altenew Blending Brushes.

Sometimes the stencil needs adjusting to fit the embossed design, but it’s easy to do, and provides great results between the layers of stencils and ink!

After the design was tinted and shaded, I stamped the greeting with a sentiment from the Magnolia Ballerina stamp set, heat setting with Platinum embossing powder.

I trimmed the panel short, and machine sewed the top edged onto a scrap of patterned paper, then adhered both to a folded card base. Both cards are complete with a few clear flat sequins!

Thank you to all of you for hopping along with us today! Your next stop along the hop is Seeka’s blog, but before you go, be sure to check out Giveaway being offered!
