Hi, hello!
Today is my first official post on the Altenew blog as a full-fledged member of the design team and I’m sharing these two cards.
I used the Botanical You stamp set and the Create-a-Wreath dies to make them, stamping on one with just the Altenew Crisp dye inks and on the other, making ink puddles to paint overtop the inking after I’d stamped. While I was at it with the ink-paint, I painted up a piece of water color paper to cut the leaves and stems from.
For the kraft card stock card I die cut three more layers of each of the alphabet letters to stack behind them so had more visual weight on top of the die cut leaves. I stamped the sentiment on a piece of dark grey card stock and added a few sequins in complimentary colors to finish.
This card got a bit more fussing, with the painted and paint speckled background, layers of die cut leaves and a word shadow cut from vellum. This time I stamped and embossed the sentiment on kraft card stock. I love the earthy color tones and I tell you, these layered stamps are such a pleasure to work with!
You can find more photos and process details on the Altenew blog. Thanks for stopping by today!
