I have two cards to share today that share a simple, graphic esthetic.
The first card features the Pots and Plants stamp set, and is pretty simple and easy if, like me, you don’t mind fussy cutting! I stamped the middle potted plant onto some masking paper and cut it out with fine tipped scissors. Then I stamped that image onto Neenah Desert Storm Kraft cardstock with Obsidian Pigment Ink and heat set with clear embossing powder.
Next I covered the middle pot with the stamped and fussy cut mask image and positioned the other two potted plants on either side of the middle image and stamped it as above.
Next, I stamped one of the 12(!) lovely sentiments in the stamp set, heat set and embossed it as well. I trimmed the A2 sized panel narrower on one edge in order to add a narrow strip of patterned paper from the Essentials Black and White paper pad. Then I added a few black enamel dots to finish the card.
My second card features the Happy Petals stamp set, the Splatter Hot Foil Plate and the Tiny Sentiments Hello Die and Tiny Sentiments stamps.
I began by hot foiling an A2 card panel of Neenah Solar White cardstock with the Splatter hot foil plate. Next, I stamped the Happy Petals floral image stamp onto vellum paper with embossing ink and heat set with Antique Gold embossing powder before fussy cutting that too. (There is also a die set, I just don’t have it.
I die cut the Hello die cut once from gold foil cardstock and again from scrap cardstock to give a little added dimension but not too much. I stamped the mini greeting onto the gold foil cardstock with Black Stazon ink because I wasn’t sure how the slick surface of the gold foil would take the ink.
Before adhering all the components in place, I wrapped the front panel with the gold striped Washi Tape.
