Hi, hey! I have a post up on the Altenew Card Blog today featuring the Bird of the Woods Stamp set, and with the trick of a few extra techniques besides stamping, I gave it an “artsy” feel!

Very quickly, to create this card, I stamped the images onto masking paper and used that to make the bird appear to be sitting on the branches. I stamped on watercolor paper with a light color of ink, then added the colored layers with a water-filled paintbrush, ink-blended a background and added splatters.
I added more leaves to the branches with a small tipped paint brush, then gave the whole design the “artist” treatment with fine liner pens adding hashmarks, squiggly outlines and extra definition.
