Here is the card I made….
using this stamp set! While it is a layering stamp set that makes adding color and definition very easy, I took the watercolor route, stamping only the outline image.
I stamped an all-over design, covering an entire sheet of watercolor card panel and then watercolor painted the rambling flower bunches as well as painting the background in a green/blue gradient.
Then! I die cut all the hexagon shapes from the painted panel! I could tell you that was my intent from the first, but nope, I just wasn’t as excited by the painted all over design as I wanted to be, so I did a hard 90º shift. I stamped one of the sentiments in the set and die cut it into a hex shape as well, and as I positioned the painted hexies on the card front, I fell in love with the images again!
The Glimmer Kit this month, as well as the Small and Large Die of the Month Club kits have hexagon dies to match the sentiment shapes and sizes in the stamp kit, although I used a hex die in my stash.
Please be sure to check out the many great value kit subscriptions that Spellbinders offers, with coordinating components between many of the kits.
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
