Today’s card incorporates the small floral sprig from Have Your Cake, stamped on watercolor paper and painted, with the Letter Cuts Dies.
I positioned all the letter dies on my work surface, to spell Thank You, and used some wide washi tape to keep them together. To make sure none had shifted, I die cut them first from some scrap cardstock, then used those die cut letters to adhere in a stack. Then I taped the dies to my homemade patterned paper and ran them through the die cutting machine.
Before adhering the layered letter stacks back into their openings I ran a pink marker along the edges to help the subtle dimension pop. I did some stamp surgery on a stamp from the Sentimental Sayings set and made a sentiment strip to coordinate. I felt like as simple as the card is, it was also busy enough not to require any further embellishment.
Be sure to check out the rest of the blogs; there’s so much to love and drool over! Becky Roberts is next on the list.
